Vesak Buddha Day Pilgrims – May 18th is not only my birthday but this year was the day Vesak was celebrated in Tibet. Vesak is the day upon which Tibetan Buddhists celebrate the Birth of Siddhattha Gautama, the Buddha to be, his Enlightenment at the age of 35 along with his passing into Nirvana at the age of 80. Scriptures document that each of these three occasions happened on the full moon of the month of Vaisakha.
