The corner outside the Kashgar market was controlled mayhem as every sort of human conveyance moved with the changing of the lights.
In a country where the bicycle once reigned supreme, it is now the electric motor scooter. With silent speeding stealth they inundate the sidewalks, streets, alleys, anywhere a bicycle once went. The pedestrian beware for they seemingly have no rules as to speed, direction of travel or where they may be ridden. Extra scary after dark for they are as invisible as they are silent for the batteries last longer if you do not turn on the lights.
A display of garlic in the Kashgar market.
