The whaling ship Petrel sails no more, Grytviken
The derelict whaling ship “Petrel” abandoned on shore when the whaling stopped. Our ship the Silver Explorer at anchor. In the foreground where the fur seals are was our zodiac landing. A zodiac would bring a curious crowd of seals to shore which at times were the major obstacle to avoid when loading or unloading.
