A Peale's dolphin frolicking alongside the ship as we cruise to South Georgia.
A humpback whale during one of our sea days, rolling over showing it’s fluke and giving a wave of it it’s flipper before diving deep. A humpback whale will display it’s fluke when it dives deep. Humpback whales arch their back sharply, giving them a “humped” appearance when they point steeply down for a dive. Humpbacks only dive to around 500 feet maximum although other species have recorded dives of up to 9,000 feet.
