Located very close to Vinales is the Caverna de Santo Tomás. It's the largest cave system in Cuba as well as the second largest in the Americas. Somehow Linda and I got caught up in the Cuban hustle and ended up taking a very unofficial jungle entrance rather than the commercial one.
A local kid gave us the unofficial tour of Caverna de Santo Tomás. Not what we were looking for yet being in an undeveloped part of the cavern with only headlamps for light had an adventurous feel to it. Linda is admireing the flowstone formations.
While in Vinales Linda and I rented a motor scooter to tour the remoter parts of Valle de Vinales. This is the bus station in the village of La Palma.
