While waiting for a bus connection on our way to Vinales, Linda and I took the opportunity to visit the town of Santa Clara, Cuba. The bus station is serviced regularly by horse drawn carts that serve as local taxis.
A common site on the streets of towns and villages of Cuba are horse drawn carts for transportation.
The 22 foot high statue of Che Guevara crowns the mausoleum where his remains are interned. It was in Santa Clara where in 1958 Che Guevera helped Fidel Castro win the final battle of the Cuban Revolution and ousted the dictator Fulgencio Batista.
