It took 3 years to build the 10 mile long Hanging Flume to bring water to the Montrose Placer Mining Company. The flume was a success, yet the quality of the ore mined did not produce enough gold to sustain the project.

The ruins of the Driggs Mansion (one of the founders of American Airlines) backed by Thimble Rock Point in the Unaweep Canyon, Colorado. Interesting is that Unaweep Canyon is the only canyon in the world drained by 2 creeks flowing in opposite directions.
