These two chicks appear to have been hatched a few days ago. From the time they are hatched it is about two months before maturing enough to return to sea with their parents. By the looks of the belly of Chinstrap on the left it has got a full belly of krill, up to one half pound to feed it’s ever hungry growing chicks.
