Our ship had now collected a large group of sea birds watching for fish it brought to the surface. It seemed they would fly for hours before they flapped their wings.
Point Wild is the low flat rock dead ahead. To the right is a low narrow rocky peninsula where 22 men survived for 4 ½ months to be rescued.
It was a surreal morning when they off loaded the zodiacs. Finally! A stones throw from our ultimate destination. As there was no safe area for a landing the day would be a couple of zodiac tours. Tomorrow at Browns Bluff is when we would make landfall.
