A solitary gentoo stands sentry duty while we visited Damoy Point
After Tahoetyranno’s last foray out at Brown Bluff I thought I would never hear the end of it. “Why here? The ice age killed off my family. Why can’t we go to some hot humid steamy jungle somewhere?” I begged and pleaded and finally he gave in after I agreed to wrap him in a wool sock along with a hand warmer until I wanted him to pose. Once out, he didn’t want back in. Said it was too beautiful to stay in a warm sock
Photographers posing for photographers. I wasn’t posing for the shot, just working the terrain with my model Tahoetyranno. That pinkish looking snow I’m lying in? Penguin poop. Anything to get the shot. Many thanks shouted out to Cathy who was quick enough to aim her camera and capture this action shot. (I don’t have many so each and every one is cherished)
