Elephant seals sparing on the beach. At about 3,000 or so pounds each, these are just teenagers. As they get older they will over double in size and their proboscis will become a more fully developed trunk like appendage giving them their name “elephant seal”

King Penguins always appeared to be oblivious to it all. In the water or on the beach they were always in their own little world not bothered a bit by other seals, penguins, or humans. Most of those boulder appearing lumps are elephant seals littering the beach. The fur seals were smart enough to stay away.
