Thousands and thousands of King Penguins. As far as the eye could see until they just disappeared and blended into the surrounding landscape. The brown fur balls are the chicks, their warm down coats made them comparable in size to the adults.

All of these chicks are waiting for their parents to come home to feed them. Until they lose their insulative down outer feathers and can enter the ocean they are dependent on their parents for food.

Other than the occasional curiosity driven meet and greet, the seals and penguins pretty much leave each other alone.
